Who should attend the Conference?

The Conference is designed to equip and encourage pregnancy center directors, staff, volunteers, and board members. Each of these groups of people will find workshops tailored to their interests and needs!

How should I travel from the airport to the Hilton?

The Atlanta Link shuttle is the shuttle service that runs from the airport to the Hilton (and also surrounding hotels) for $29 round trip per person or $25 round trip per person for a group of three or more. Taking a taxi is another option. Taxi fare for a one-way trip is $30.

Where is the Conference being held?

The Conference is being held at the Atlanta Downtown Hilton, 225 Courtland St., NE, Atlanta, GA 30303.

Do I have to stay in the Hilton?

No, but Care Net has contracted with the Hilton to provide ample rooms for the best value and the most convenient location.

What does my registration cost cover?

The fee covers all workshops, keynote sessions, entrance to exhibit hall, conference bags, and the Conference meals. The meals provided are lunch and dinner on Thursday and Saturday and dinner on Friday.

Do I have until the registration deadline to cancel my registration?

No. The deadline to cancel a registration and receive a 50% refund is August 31, 2008. The registration deadline is September 12, 2008.

Can a registration be transferred?

Yes.  Please send transfer requests to dstreets@care-net.org.

Can my spouse attend the general sessions even if he is not registered?

Yes, but he must have a visitor meal ticket to eat the meals.

How do I register if I do not have a credit card?

You may mail in the printable 2008 Care Net National Pregnancy Center Conference Registration form with a check for payment to:

Do I receive a discount for multiple attendees coming from one center?

Yes, you receive $100 off each registration when there are over seven attending (8 or more) from one center. Please indicate on your registrations that your center is taking advantage of the $100 off discount and fax (the number is 205.979.7881) or mail these registrations to our Birmingham office using the printable 2008 Care Net National Pregnancy Center Conference Registration form.

What should I do during my free time on Friday?

We recommend checking out some of the exciting sights of downtown Atlanta! We are within blocks of the World of Coca-Cola museum, the Georgia Aquarium, the Centennial Olympic Park, and a variety of restaurants and shops.

How can I find a roommate?

Email your request to dstreets@care-net.org if interested in finding a Conference roommate. Please include your center name, address, telephone number, and email address. We keep a running list of people who are looking for a roommate at the Conference. Once your request is received, you will receive by email a list of others seeking a roommate.

How do I decide what workshops to attend?

Advanced track workshops will take place on Wednesday, October 1. If you are attending on Wednesday, you will go to all workshops in your Advanced Track. On Main Conference days,  however, unless you are in the Client Marketing Track, the Medical Track, or the New Directors Track, you may attend any other workshop.

Which workshops offer Continuing Education Contact Hours?

The Medical Tracks - Advanced Tracks Medical 101 & 201 - offer 6 CE hours. Main Conference Medical Track also offers 10.5 total CE hours if all workshops are attended. The cost is a $25.00 administration fee collected after Conference.

Do I have to pay for meals I am not attending?

Yes. Care Net will be responsible for your meal if you do not attend.

Where else can I get coffee?

Understand that the cost of coffee is a significant part of our food budget for Conference, and we do the best job possible to provide coffee services to you and also to be good stewards to our budget.

There is also a Starbucks in the lobby of the Hilton.

In what ways can I help?

Let us know if you will not be attending the banquet on Saturday night, when you register. Let us know if you need to cancel a room in the Care Net block at the Hilton.

May children attend the Conference general sessions or workshops?

It is Care Net’s policy that children not attend.

What is Special Community Prayer Time?

The leadership of Care Net has set apart this time to corporately go before the Lord as this conference begins. Any Care Net Conference attendee is invited to join Kurt Dillinger and other worship leaders for a time of prayer, praise and worship Wednesday, October 1st.     We will reflect on II Chronicles 7:14 “If my people who are called by My name will humble themselves and pray, and seek my face…then I will hear from heaven…”  Please join together as we honor God.

Wednesday, October 1st, 2:00 PM - 5:00 PM - Hilton Hotel, 3rd Floor, Carter/ Jackson Room.
