ABSTINENCE
Katy Flood - What if every client learned the wonder and value of their life? Respected their body? Knew the true ingredients of healthy relationships? How different would their decisions be? The Sexual Integrity Program provides the training, tools, and techniques to reach clients with a message that will change their lives and assist you in continuing the relationship with them. Join Katy Flood, Heartbeat International's Sexual Integrity Specialist and experienced center leader, as she passionately teaches you how to reach your clients with the truth about who they are – greatly enhancing your ability to promote healthy change in their lives.
ADVANCED COUNSELING
You can do this! Helping women trapped in the emotional wounds of sexual sin. Join Paula Rinehart, Marriage/Family Therapist and author as she shares useful tools in counseling.
ADVANCED DEVELOPMENT
Learn needed steps for creating relationships with major donors and the secrets of the FORTUNE 500 for nonprofits. Participants will discover how charities are implementing these five secrets for a greater good. These presentations are unique because they give you an understanding of the philanthropic online experience. With this straight to the point advice, you can implement these steps tomorrow.
CLIENT MARKETING SOLUTIONS II (CMS)
This advanced track is a follow-up training for centers that have previously participated in the full Client Marketing Solutions Track (either at the Conference in 2007 or CMS trainings held previously). Participants will receive forums on cutting-edge information as well as one-to-one consultations.
COMMUNITY RELATIONS
We are called as pregnancy center ministries to impact our communities for life and Christ. Minister effectively and build credibility in your community. You will learn tried and true ways to network with other community organizations with confidence and ease. This workshop will teach you to build relationships and cultivate new donors.
DIRECTORS' ISSUES
Pregnancy center directors face unique issues in their ministry. From burn out to balancing "the call," learn how to manage the tough situations. These workshops will provide insight, direction, and encouragement, empowering you to handle the ministry challenges with grace and integrity.
EVANGELISM
Learn how to effectively lead pregnancy center clients to Christ with Pastor Andy Merritt. Pastor Merritt has assisted in establishing and training over 500 pregnancy centers.
LARGE CENTER ADVANCEMENT TRACK (LCAT)
A new workshop for Care Net. This workshop is for leaders of larger pregnancy center ministries. LCAT will be taught by a group of executive directors currently running pregnancy centers with an average budget above $1 million, as well as national experts and CEOs. The format will include individual and group presentations with small break-out sessions. (Must pre-register)
Registration is limited. Criteria in determining if the LCAT is for you: you must have a budget of $500,000 or more, at least three programs, and a medical component or be in the process of establishing one. Or, you could be a mid-size center who has the realistic possibility of becoming a larger pregnancy center.
LEGAL ISSUES
The Legal Issues track is new and specially designed to focus on the recent legal concerns facing pregnancy centers. Centers will gain a knowledge of the national legal trends affecting pregnancy centers and education for ensuring the internal legal compliance of their own center.
MEDICAL 101
Establishing Ultrasound Services (6 CE Hours for Nurses) “Going Medical?” Learn how the addition of ultrasound services will expand your impact and outreach. This course is a comprehensive overview of the process involved in transitioning to a medical pregnancy center offering limited obstetrical ultrasounds. Participants will understand the steps and internal changes that are necessary in order to successfully make this change.
MEDICAL 201: STI TESTING & TREATMENT
(6 CE Hours for Nurses) Interested in expanding your outreach and opportunity to promote sexual integrity? Consider adding STI Training. This course will cover every aspect of initiating an STI program, from community research and funding to specimen collection and treatment options. Participants will learn ways to incorporate sexual integrity material in an effective and life-changing manner.
NEW DIRECTORS – 1 DAY
This track is uniquely designed for the new Care Net pregnancy center director. Learn the basics of leadership, including marketing your center, public relations, equipping and keeping volunteers (remaining days will equip you to train volunteers), and most importantly, finding rest in the knowledge that you have been called for such a time as this! This training fulfills Care Net's affiliation requirement for new director training.
***Please note: If you are a new director, but have been on the staff of your center for a year or more and are already equipped to train your center’s volunteers, you need only attend Wednesday sessions.

ABSTINENCE
Effective abstinence programs impact your community and clients for life and physical health. Education on training parents, implementing the most current research in your program, and communicating with humor will impact your audience and leave them with an unforgettable message. Presenters include Keith Deltano, Jeffery Dean, Leslee Unruh, Susan Adams, and Catherine Wood.
BOARD
This track will cover exciting topics to develop and challenge boards, such as: tools to address image and resource development, boards roles in recruitment, and financial responsibilities and human resources. Leaders include AUL President Clarke Forsythe, ECFA’s Dan Busby, and Legal Counsel Jeanneane Maxon.
CLIENT MARKETING SOLUTIONS (CMS)
This is the entry level training designed to be a systematic course on client marketing. Please be aware that attendees must pre-register and then plan on attending the complete track Thursday – Saturday. CMS individual sessions are not open to general attendance once the conference starts. Space is limited to 75 attendees. Individuals pre-registering will receive confirmation prior to conference.
FUNDRAISING
All you wanted to know about fundraising for your center! Many avenues from which to gather practical tools: developing major donors, improving your banquet, walks, church campaigns, newsletters, and more.
Friday "One Day" Workshops
Meet with your Regional Consultant: This workshop is designed for you to hear from your Regional Care Net Consultant and network with other centers in your area.
GENERAL
This track will cover great topics you will not want to overlook: gathering your stats, using the new Care Net website, college outreach, risks of abortion with Clarke Forsythe, Biblical concepts in counseling with Vince Calloway, and adoption by Focus on the Family.
LEADERSHIP DEVELOPMENT
Understand the leadership principles in building a successful ministry and empowering your staff for innovative change. Increase your effectiveness and raise your leadership ability while learning from the experts. Peggy Hartshorn, Melinda Delahoyde, Kurt Dillinger, Dr. Gary Rose, Lola French, and Leslee Unruh are national leaders equipped to provide a life-changing message.
MEDICAL
(CE Hours for Nurses) We are delighted to bring you this group of medical experts! Dr. Gary Rose will present information from the new book, Hooked: Bonding and Teen Sexuality, as well as a talk on STIs. Dr. Elizabeth Shadigian will speak on what PRCs need to know about the partial-birth abortion ban and the law. Expanding evidence supporting a clear link between abortion and psychiatric illness will be covered by Dr. Martha Shuping. Dr. Byron Calhoun will present the economic toll of abortion and preterm birth and Dr. Joe DeCook will share on the long-term complications of abortion. Dr. Mary Davenport, an OB/GYN, has a fascinating talk on new regimens of medical abortion.
MEN’S MINISTRY
Pregnancy centers are reporting a high percentage of women who base their decisions to carry to term on the response of their partner. Reaching men with life-affirming options and the message of involved, responsible fatherhood strengthens the family and benefits the child. Learn how to incorporate a stellar fatherhood program through one-on-one counseling, fatherhood programs, and community outreach. The National Fatherhood Initiative, Guys for Life, and leading experts will give you insight into impacting your male clients with life-changing education.
MULTI-CULTURAL MINISTRIES
Come and be affirmed, equipped, and challenged to more effectively reach and minister to African American, Hispanics, Asians and Native American communities. From literature choices to building bridges of trust, these experienced leaders will share their research and insights with you. Don’t miss this opportunity!
NEW DIRECTORS (4 DAY)
Learn the expertise needed to successfully facilitate a volunteer training at your center. Using Care Net’s "Serving with Care and Integrity" training manual, you will receive the tools needed to effectively train volunteers and staff. For new Care Net pregnancy center directors and/or those involved in the training of volunteers at your center. These workshops fulfill Care Net’s affiliation requirement for new director training.
VOLUNTEER TRAINING
(New Directors-Thursday-Saturday) Serving Clients with Care and Integrity is also open to those who are not a new Director, but who are responsible for training center volunteers.
PACE
The 2008 PACE track is designed to be a systematic course on facilitating post-abortion healing. Please be aware that attendees must pre-register and plan on attending the complete track, Thursday – Saturday. PACE individual sessions are not open to general attendance once the conference starts. Space is limited to 75 attendees, so individuals who are pre-registered will be given confirmation of who they are prior to conference.
PUBLIC RELATIONS
Manage internal and external communications in your center to build and maintain a positive image. Communication, media, fundraising pieces, and client brochures project a unique profile of identifying your pregnancy center to your community. Don’t be caught off guard! Teri Goudie, Kristin Hansen, Marc Newman, and Mike Williams will effectively prepare you. In the age of attack, this track is essential for every pregnancy center director.
SPIRITUAL LEADERSHIP
Spiritual leadership is a sacred trust. God’s leaders must realize they represent Him in their role. In this track your heart, will be set on a pilgrimage to grow spiritually as a leader, in understanding God's will for you and your ministry.
